What is it?

Botox is a purified protein (botulinum toxin) which induces long term relaxation of the muscles into which it is placed. It has been used cosmetically for over 20 years and has revolutionised the facial cosmetics industry, due to its remarkable results, low risk and zero recovery time

What does it do? 

Over the years we lose the "elastic" collagen protein from our skin, and wrinkles and creases appear due to over active muscle movement. Botox relaxes these muscles, smoothing out the lines and creating a more youthful appearance. Botox will only work on the muscles into which it is placed leaving surrounding muscles to function as usual, enabling normal facial expresion minus the wrinkles.
