Dr Trevor Buchanan BDS(QUB)
Qualified from Queens University Belfast in June 1995 before embarking on a specialist training in the field of Oral Surgery where he held posts in The Ulster Hospital, Altnegelvin and Sunderland Royal before deciding to return to general practice. He purchased the consulting rooms in 2000 and began a radical programme of revamping the services and premises to ensure that they are offered the best in the locality. He has continued his training and now provides facial aestheic treatments and has completed a year long training pathway in the placement of dental implants. He is married to Pamela and they have two children aged five and eight he lists his interests as photography, computing and the family enjoy walking their two dogs together.
Pamela Buchanan EDH(QUB)
The practice manager and hygienist, she qualified also in 1995 as one of the first six hygienists trained by the school of dentistry in Belfast. She takes care of the day to day running of the consulting rooms, is responsible for staff traning and sees patients offering a wide range of prevenative services.
Joanne McAtamney RDN
Joanne joined the team five years ago, and has since passed her National Certificate for Dental Nurses. Joanne works with Trevor in surgery and has special interests in facial aesthetics and dealing with anxious patients helping youto feel at ease.
Alethea Kane
Alethea also joined the team in May 2006 as our implant co-ordinator and looks after all stages of this treatment ensuring the patients are informed and relaxed. She looks also looks after the day to day running of reception and is about to begin training to take her dental nursing exams.
