Our Practice - An Introduction
On behalf of the whole team here at RDP we would like to welcome you.
RDP was established in 1979 by Francis Hollinshead with Steve Mulcahy joining in early 1983 Mark Calvert joining in 2000 and Vinnit Khanna joining in 2008
Mr. Hollinshead has since retired.
In 1994 a major refurbishment was carried out, with the purchase of the adjacent property, this provided 6 new surgeries with disabled/wheelchair access to the 4 downstairs surgeries. In 2003 new toilets,an extra waiting room and an additional surgery were added to accomodate growing patient numbers.
We were presented with an award from Nantwich Town council for an outstanding contribution towards the environmental standards of the township of Nantwich for the building work carried out
Elizabeth Mulcahy joined the practice in 1990 and has provided an opportunity for any patients wishing to see a female dentist.
Our team of caring and efficient dentists, hygienists, nursing and reception staff are happy to give help, advice and assistance, so please feel free to discuss your dental health and treatment requirements.
Building a happy and personal relationship with our patients is a matter of great importance to us.
We would welcome any suggestions on how to improve the service we provide, to do so please contact our practice manager Susan Lavalette or use the form on our Feedback page.
We are dedicated to the prevention of dental and gum disease and feel that this is far less costly than the repeated cycle of breakdown and repair and is certainly more enjoyable for all concerned. Our patient information framework, providing written advice along with your consultation helps to achieve this
Registering with the practice
We are a private practice and therefore only accept adults for private treatment or,those wishing to join the maintenance scheme offered at the practice once dental fitness has been secured. At present we will treat children under the terms of the NHS.
Nervous Patients
We appreciate that many people have anxieties and concerns regarding dental treatment, many of these fears stem from unpleasant childhood experiences. We understand how you feel and will do everything we can to restore your confidence
Cross Infection Control
We're very aware of the real concern regarding this matter. We can assure you that full autoclave sterilization procedures and use of disposables operate throughout the practice. We are annually inspected to make sure our procedures are up to date.
Your appointment with us
When you make an appointment we reserve that time exclusively for you, and our dental team will make every effort to ensure that you are seen as promptly as possible. If you are kept waiting there is normally a good reason. Please be patient.
The importance of time ...
It is easy to pick up the telephone and call us on 01270 627 544 or, if you prefer the convenience of the electronic age, please go to our Appointments page and fill out our electronic appointment form. By giving us some basic contact details and your preferred days / times for appointments, our receptionist will be happy to call you at a convenient time and arrange an appointment.
We hope your visit to the practice is stress free and as enjoyable as possible.
Regards
Steve Mulcahy and Mark Calvert
