The Practice Team & Their Qualifications

Our practice team consists of:

Mr J (Rauti) Rautenbach: Dentist; B.CH.DU Stell 1983; GDC registration number: 57994; Mr Rautenbach joined the practice in 1986. He is originally from South Africa and qualified at the university of Stellenbosch near Capetown. He lives in Nailsea with his wife and four children. His interests include all outdoor activities and camping. His patients call him Rauti! He does not work on a Tuesday afternoon. He now owns the practice with Mr Roberts. Mr Rautenbach can provide you with Cerec crowns and inlays. Data protection number Z770362X

Mr David Roberts: Dentist; BDS Bristol 1983; GDC registration number: 57607; Mr Roberts joined the practice in 1998. He lives in Bristol with his wife. His hobbies include photography, music, small engineering and cars. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry. He now owns the practice with Mr Rautenbach. Data protection number Z8106131

Mr Stephen Collard: Associate Dentist; BDS Bristol 1981; GDC registration number: 55911; Mr Collard joined the practice in 1985. His interests include travel and keeping fit. He does not work on a Wednesday. He is married and lives near Bristol. Data protection number Z9065365

Mrs Barbara Bachtold: Hygienist; CEB Dip Dent Hygiene 1995; GDC registration number: 3892; Barbara has worked at the practice since 1990. She was previously a dental nurse here. Barbara enjoys swimming, family life and a healthy lifestyle. She works at our practice all day on a Monday

Miss Emma Thomas: Hygienist; CEB Dip Dent Hygiene 2001; GDC registration number: 5878; Emma works here on a Wednesday, Thursday morning and on alternate friday mornings. Emma will be going on maternity leave at the end of May 2011.

Mrs Helen Harrington: Hygienist; Dip Dent Hygiene Ncle 2006; GDC registration number: 102884; Helen works at our practice on Thursdays. She won the 2006 General Dental Council prize for Professionalism (dental hygiene category). Her hobbies are horseriding and hockey. Helen is currently on maternity leave. She has had a lovely baby boy.

Mrs Lyn Ralph: Hygienist; CEB Cert. in Dental Hygiene; GDC registration number: 1480; Lyn joined our practice in October 2010. She works here all day on a Tuesday. She qualified at Guys hospital in 1977. Lyn has several pets including a dog, cat, rabbit and fish! Lyn has an active family and likes going to the coast!

Ms Gail Clarke: Dental Hygienist; CEB Cert.Dental Hygiene 1973; GDC registration number: 1059; Gail will join our practice in March 2011 to cover for maternity leave. She used to work for us 20 years ago! Gail has an art studio at Clevedon Craft Centre and also has 3 whippets! Gail will be working here from March 2011 on alternate Friday mornings.

Mrs Anne Wynne: Hygienists; Anne will be rejoining our practice in June 11 and working here from 4-8 on a Thursday.

OUR RECEPTIONISTS: We have 4 part-time receptionists - Sally, Sue, Sandra and Carolyn. All of our receptionists are friendly and approachable. They have many years of dental experience between them and are more than willing to help you with any queries you may have.

OUR NURSES: We have a team of 5 fully qualified nurses. They help the dentist and look after the surgery. They are all registered with the General Dental Council and undergo regular professional development. Mrs Elizabeth Hardcastle: Practice Manager; Cert. DPM 2048; Elizabeth has been with the practice since 1990. She is also our Complaints Officer and will be happy to assist you if you have any questions about our service. Her hobbies are walking her Border Terrier and dancing.
