In an Emergency 

Registered Patients

We have an out-of-hours emergency service for patients registered with our practice ONLY.

Just phone the normal surgery number, 01275 852143,  and a recorded message will give you the mobile number of one of our 3 dentists - Mr Rautenbach, Mr Roberts or Mr Collard.  Alternatively, if you have a severe problem such as uncontrolled pain, sweling, bleeding or trauma. you can contact the Avon Dental out of hours (OOH) emergency service which is located at the Bristol Gate Access Centre on 0845 120 6680 for NHS emergency care. They will assess your problem and if appropriate you will be offered an appointment at a central clinic, but plese note that this service is extremely busy so you may have to wait for an answer. The service is open each evening between 6 -9pm and 8am -5pm on Saturday, Sundays and bank holidays. If you are not exempt from NHS charges there will be a charge of £17.00.

The charge for emergency call outs at our practice is £100. There is of course no call out fee for Denplan patients.

 We would like to draw your attention to what constitutes a dental emergency:

• Uncontrollable bleeding - haemorrhage
• Facial swelling due to abscess
• Trauma as a result of an accident
• Pain that has been constant for several hours
